SPEEDING EVIDENCE GOES ONLINE.
Drivers caught speeding in Suffolk are now able to view the photographic evidence against them online. Suffolk's new public access system will show all the evidence on alleged speeding offences. The system, installed with the aim of minimising delays and unnecessary paperwork, puts a unique pin number on notices of intended prosecution. This allows people to log on and check evidence such as photographs, site details and speed camera information. Michelle Finnerty, communications manager for the Suffolk safety camera partnership, said: "The public are increasingly turning to the internet to do everything from shopping to banking and have come to expect quick and efficient access to information. "The introduction of the public access system means that we can streamline correspondence and offer a more time efficient and cost effective service to the public."
